There are so many types of beautiful Pit Bulls. We all have our favorites as well. There are Red-nosed, Silvers, Black, White, Razoredge, Colby, Gotti and Brindles. The reason there are several different varieties of Pit Bulls is because the American Pit Bull is just like so many of us; we are a mixture of many different nationalities depending upon where our parents, grandparents, great- grandparents – well you get it – came from.
The American Pit Bull is actually known as the American Staffordshire Terrier which is a descendant of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, a taller and bigger version of other strains of the Terrier.
The different flavors of the Pit Bull that we know and love include the Bull Terrier, English Terrier, Mastiff, Bulldog and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
In this article, we are focusing on the Brindle Pit Bull, an incredibly gorgeous dog with gold, white, various shades of brown and black tiger stripes. A truly unique dog, but they are not rare. If you are shopping for a Brindle, do not let a breeder convince you that the Brindle is rare and force you to overpay for your dog. The Brindle Pit Bull is recognized by the American Kennell Club and can have “papers”, however.
On the following pages, we have compiled 10 pictures of Brindle Pit Bulls that show the differences in their markings and, of course, adorable faces!
